Question: Somebody please help me im crying!!!!!.?
my friends at school always call me weird for the stupidest reasons, like when im packing up i keep it all organized and they think im weird and they always call me it, i guess i have OCD but idk and then when i get home i go cry and i know it sounds really stupid but i think im going depressed and its making me cry typing this right now and i cant talk to anybody because theyll probably think im weird too and i hate all this!!!! i have a best friend but shes changed and we never hang out and she has a ton of friends and i only have a few mean ones!!! i dont wana be sent off to a theropist cause then ill feel retarded and that'll make it worse!!!!

First just take a deep breath, as deep as you can and exhale slowly and just let it all slip away.

There's nothing wrong with being organized, truth be told we're all at least borderline OCD about SOME things. For example I used to have this "evenness" thing where if I scratched one elbow I'd have to scratch the other or else it'd feel unbalanced.

Secondly, try and figure out if your friends are saying those things to be malicious or if they're just saying it as lighthearted teasing. There are some things that my friends tease me about, even though they don't intend to be mean, that hurt my feelings. It's just important to remember that not necessarily all these teases are meant to be mean.

Now if they are intentionally being mean or it still bugs you. Try and find a subtle way to communicate it to them. I know it's not always easy to admit our insecurities to the people that we love, but sometimes it's better to suffer through the little bit of embarrassment in admitting it to reap the benefits later.

Lastly and most importantly, what other people think of you doesn't matter one ounce. Don't let other people hurt your self image or make you feel bad about yourself. You owe yourself more than to let people hurt your feelings. I know that's easier said than done, but just try and keep that philosophy in mind, you really do have to live for yourself, that's who you're responsible for at the moment.

Keep your head up, do something fun to keep your mind off of it. If you're feeling too stressed try thinking of different good ways that you can relieve that stress. It doesn't apply for everyone but for me exercise helps me a ton. Playing or listening to music, writing lyrics, drawing art, writing creatively, anything. also, remember you'll be the one laughing when your organizational skills help you get farther in life.

Don't listen to your friends your not weird just cause you aren't like them!!! People call me weird all the time i just joke about it.Dont make it a big deal life is way too short for your friends calling you things,i know same thing happend to me with i thought a best friend things just happend (not trying to sound harsh !!) at all but you dont need a theropist i mean if you feel like you do then that would be the best for you.

Who cares what they think, your organizational skills will be beneficial when you get a job. These people are only temporary fixtures in your life. If it bothers you so much why don't you tell them that if they weren't such slobs they wouldn't think it was so weird. It sounds like you dont hang out with a good group of kids. They shouldnt make fun of you just because you r organized. I dont have many friends either but the ones i do have or nice and supportive. Now then. Your friends suck. Join a club or take up an activity where you can meet new friends. While you don't have to drop the old ones, you'll be happier with supportive friends that share your interests.

Next, depression is relatively normal for your age and not a sign of retardation. Talk to your parents or your family doctor about it. Most likely it's a simple chemical imbalance that is perfectly normal for your stage in life.

Finally, as for being weird for being organized, I have two things to say about that. First, being organized is good. When you graduate near the top of your class and go on to the best schools your sloppier friends will be scrambling to get into community colleges. Then at your class reunion you can smile smugly and remind them who was weird when you have a good solid career to be proud of and they still work in fast food. As for weird being bad, well, that's all in your point of view. I see "weird" as individualistic. I've gotten a lot of pleasure out of my "weirdness" over life. I take the time to enjoy things that other people may pass by without thinking. Weird just means different and our differences are what make us unique and special. So the next time they tell you that you are weird, smile and say thanks. Then, if you feel the need, remind each of them of the individual ways that they too are weird. I know, I hate it too! Eversince elementary school, kids have repeatedly called me weird, strange, and odd. When I was in 5th grade, I always sanitized my desk because I was afraid of germs, and everyone called me a neat freak and made fun of me for it. All through out middle school, I acted kind of strange and had a quirky personality. Now in high school, I get called weird almost every day.

I used to hate it and feel like sh*t everytime someone would once again call me weird, but now I look at it as being unique and different. Now I hate being normal. I WANT to be weird because at least I stand out from the crowd.

So I understand how you feel. Being called weird is even worse than being called stupid or ugly because when your weird, people don't wan t to associate with you. I think what you should do is find new friends. Even if people call you weird, you don't have to take it in a bad way. Just think of it as unique. If your friends don't except you for who you are now, just know that there will be people who don't care if your weird or not but like you for who you are.
