Answers:
I have anxiety and depression, panic attacks as well.

You have to keep in mind that the fear of being afraid can cause the panic attack it's self. Keep going to school, it's important. If you back out because you're afraid, it can turn into a negative way of dealing with situations in which you are afraid.

When I started going to college, I was still having panic attacks and it took me two weeks to not feel sick and cry every morning before class... but the more I got comfortable and realized there was nothing to be afraid of, now it's a breeze.

Overcoming the initial fear is the worst part, but take it from me, after you work up the courage to do it, you'lll realize that the fuss was over nothing. :)

Most importantly, you should definitely consult your doctor. If you decide to go on medication (I'm currently taking the anti-depressent Paxil) realize that it IS NOT a quick fix, and they're not for everybody.

As for when a panic attack is actually happening: I've found that getting myself out of the situation immediately is important to calming down. Keep telling yourself that you're going to be okay and it will pass. I wish I had a better way of dealing with them, but I don't right now.Health Question & Answer

Gosh what is it with people who are depressed and have panic attacks.?.? I've been experiencing that so much lately!

Sometimes when I get panic attacks, I suddenly feel like I'm going to throw up.

Anyway, my advice is to hang in there, knowing it will pass.Health Question & Answer

assuming this is not the first panic attack you had hopefully you told somebody about this so appropriate action can be taken. go ahead and stay home, it's only a day. take it easy and relaxHealth Question & Answer
