How can i tell my best friend im depressed?!

Question: How can i tell my best friend im depressed.?
well I'm greatly depressed, that much i know but I've been bottling it up by not telling anyone and keeping it to myself, and its just made so much worse.
i have a lot of friends but only one i can trust, but the problem is, i can't bring myself to tell them, because there depressed too and they have there own things to worry about and i don't want them to worry about my things too.
but i think I'm going to explode if i don't tell someone soon, i can't do this alone but i feel like i have no choice, i don't want to just "unload" my problems onto someone else, Therese no bloody way I'm seeing a doctor.
so please what should i do.? do i tell them or keep it to myself and keep fighting an invisible foe in the dark by myself, or do i tell them and possible make them feel worse. they have so much more to live for then i do. so please help.
sorry for wasting your time, securely nocktapuss.Health Question & Answer

okay so im basically in this situation right now. im severely depressed. and i told my best friend like months ago because i needed to tell some one and i felt i could completely trust her. thing is, shes dealing with a lot of tough stuff too and isnt handling it too well. but both of basically know what the other one is going through and its actually really helpful. we can relate to each other so we dont feel alone and we can help each other cope. it worked out really well, actually.

i think you should tell him/her. because you shouldnt have to go through this alone. and actually, at least for me, helping my friend with it and like giving her advice and everything actually made me feel better. i love helping people and doing that made me feel a little more than worthless. i felt like i actually did something right in my life for once. which made me feel a little better.

and it works both ways, too. i think youll both help each other cope and if this is your best friend, he/she should know what your going through. its only fair.

it may seem like your "burdening" him/her or something, but thats not the case. really, your just trying to reach out to someone, which is perfectly fine.

good luck and i hope you feel a little better! =]Health Question & Answer

Wow.I've been there honey trust me.But I don't think it's making it better by telling everyone that you're depressed on yahoo answers. It makes it worse because you only want one person to know but when people see this then they know.I'm am so not trying to be mean but I think you should get a lot of sleep eat healthy and tell your parents.Parents are the number 2 answer.God and prayer is one.Good luck!Hope you'll get better !!Health Question & Answer

Have you told your parents.? I think they would be the first to tell on my list. Anyway, it's good to tell someone. Somehow it does make you feel better.

In any case, you'll pull through. There is more to life than you might think.Health Question & Answer

If your unwilling to speak to the therapist or your parents or a guidance councilor or someone who can help you cope with your issues, then you should talk to your friend. Maybe the two of you can help each other cope with whats going on in your lives.Health Question & Answer

first off, instead of keeping it bottled up, see a Doctor, they can give you information on what do, and how to help yourself, if you are that worried about telling your friend than maybe that isn't the right choice. I was very depressed and i went to see a Doctor, i was proscribed a medication, but it didn't help me, the medications don't always work on people so don't think that it will automatically help you. I got over my depression by doing good mind and body things, yoga, reading happy books, listening to nice clean, healthy music...etc. Think happy positive thoughts (even when you are feeling like thinking negatively). Trust me i know it is hard, and thinking positive was the hardest part of the battle but i made it and i know you cant too!!Health Question & Answer
