Anything you enjoy doing is good therapy in my book. Watching a good movie, reading a good book, keeping a daily log, are all good forms of therapy. And yes asking and answering questions is a good form of thereapy. It's a form of keeping in touch with other people. I wouldn't be answering your question if I didn't think that I couldn't help in some small way. Good/interesting question.Health Question & Answer
Sometimes it's good to hear what other people think. It's very hard to evaluate yourself objectively. As long as you keep in mind that not everyone here is an expert (actually, very few are), and that anything said here should be confirmed by a professional (well, almost everything..there are exceptions, naturally), then you're fine.
Sometimes just talking about it helps, and you can do that here, but without the face-to-face contact. For me, writing is so much easier than talking.Health Question & Answer

I think getting your feelings out in the open is a good way to deal with things that are bothering you. And the people on this site don't know you, so they can't have a biased opinion based on who you are.
And getting so many opinions on a question you have gives you so many new ideas, and even if you don't find the answer you need, at least you were able to put your ideas down so they aren't all bottled up inside you and doing damage.
I find it very helpful, and I especially like being able to help people in any way I can with my answers.Health Question & Answer

I think it is good for both the person asking and the people answering. Seeking others opinions can help you gent an objective opinion. And you can learn about how people handled similar situations themselves.
Answering helps you sum up your knowledge and may answer a different question for you when you read someone else's answer.Health Question & Answer

For me it certainly relaxes me, but only when I answer them. As I hate waiting for my questions to be answered. And its always a good way to get people's different point of view on a subject. As for the therapy it some times nice to see that other people have problems as well. (Questions on family, relationships and school, etc)Health Question & Answer
Funny you should ask, that is the reason I began participating. Completely impartial and anonymous peer advice is genious. I don't think there is any better way to obtain true knowledge than through others experiences. More than from any book or soon to be disproven medical or scientific theory. Some taken with a grain of salt of course.Health Question & Answer
Yes I think it is for both asking and answering questions. People can be so helpful, kind, supportive and informative on here. It has helped me a lot. It also puts you in contact with people who are in similar positions health wise, family wise, or hobby wise.
