How can a get over fear/anxiety related to sex and pregnancy?!

Question: How can a get over fear/anxiety related to sex and pregnancy.?
I can't hardly have sex anymore because I'm so afraid of becoming pregnant. I've told my boyfriend we shouldn't have sex any more for this reason. I'm 20.

I'm on the pill, and even if he used condoms I still can't shake that anxiety. I know the chances of becoming pregnant while taking those precautions is very small, but I still don't believe that sex is worth risking getting pregnant. He's even said that he believes this fear is unrealistic and bizarre.

I want to have a normal 20's sex life, but I'm just so anxious and scared of pregnancy. I'm not a virgin, by any means, but I need to get over this.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Having your fear is normal. You are just wanting to be extra careful because you know you can't handle a child right now. That's okay. Your boyfriend should respect that though. If he can't, maybe he isn't right for you. I don't think you sound paranoid or anything, just extra cautious. I'm that way too. I was on the pill, and used a condom, and then sometimes felt I had to get the plan B pill. I just stopped having sex for a while because of it. So I get how you feel, just do what feels right. You have 9 more years of your 20s to have a 20s sex life. Maybe a little later you will feel more ready, or maybe you can see about getting an IUD placed in.
