I am glad you are getting some help for yourself.
I think when we start having a difficult time performing our daily routine, this means our stress is getting overwhelming. Even though you will not hurt yourself, it still feels so awful to experience those dark thoughts. Those thoughts are warning you that you need to take action to help yourself feel better. I hope therapy will help you feel better and you will figure out what is important to you. Once you know this, you can begin to take small steps toward that goal. Best Wishes.Health Question & Answer

Its really useful to have people around who know you well that you trust, who wouldnt be afraid to let you know when they start getting worried about your behaviour. Sometimes you can get feedback by how people respond to you even when theyre not telling you direct as well, eg funny looks, or when people start avoiding you. These kinds of reactions will give you a clue!
However if you have to rely on yourself to monitor when you might have crossed the line into the danger zone, look out for -
- feeling the urge to behave in a self-destructive manner, eg. picking fights with people that you care about, being really reckless and not looking after yourself properly, etc.
- feeling like you're not in control of your own behaviour.
If I think of any more I will get back to you.Health Question & Answer

Sounds like me when I was 15. Depression sucks and you need weekly therapy and medication. Try and firgure out what it is that you are so upset about and write it down...then as u progress you can take notes on how you can change that and become a better person for yourself and others. Dont do the suicide attempt or self-mutilation. I did it and it solves nothing. You need to get some help immediately to prevent you from falling apart!Health Question & Answer

One time my mom took me to the mental doctors when I was a teenager after I tried to kill myself. They kept asking me "Why do you want to HURT" yourself. I told them I just wanted to kill myself, I didn't want it to hurt. Duh. (true story)

Are these questions for realz.? Just let me know and I'll give you a serious answer. I'm not a total unfeeling jerk, you know. If it is for real, maybe you should admit yourself into a psyche rehab center. I stayed in one for about 2 months when I was 14. It actually did help me alot.Health Question & Answer

You are a danger to yourself and others when your thoughts manifest themselves into action. E.g. you find yourself picking up the knife or deliberately stepping into the way of oncoming traffic.

Skip the therapy -- they're trying to hook you on drugs to justify 6 months worth of sessions that cost you and your insurance thousands of dollars. Seriously, did you really think you had a mental disorder until someone put a label on how you felt.? You sound perfectly normal to me.

Use the money to buy a good pair of running shoes and a health club membership with a pool.
Just to save you some time so you won't ponder it any more... Ways to kill yourself:

Start smoking....
Eat Mcdonalds every day....
Pushing an old lady out of the way of oncoming traffic ... (This makes you a hero)
Putting yourself between the guns of a Guerilla army in Mexico and a bunch of orphans.... Go Peace Corps!
Throwing yourself on a live grenade to save your friends.... Go U.S. military!
Throw yourself into the path of oncoming legislation...Go lawyers...err...politicians...err...what...
Swimming to a bouy in open water that's a mile away... if you don't make it you're suicidal and you drown...if you make it back, you're an Ironman class athlete.
Climbing a Pyramid in Giza and ignoring the security guard pointing an AK 47 in your general direction....

Hope you're smiling now.Health Question & Answer

well at least you realised that you were out of line before you did anything.
remember and i know its hard it is ISNT you, its just how you feel,
i'm the same at the moment, I have realized I must be very depressed, as I want to pick fights with people, or just tell people to *** off.... in fact I have.... I know its irrational and wrong I just can't help it. i'm angry at everyone, and everything. i avoid people, because its in theor best interests, anytime soon, i'm going to say opr do something really nasty.

Its all down to how you feel, the depression and stress makes everything and everyone harder to deal with. Once you start to feel better hopefully the dark thoughts will stop, good luck and if you want to have a fight, (fight me) i'd love a good fight right now we can name call all day. ahoughton@humbersidefire.gov.ukHealth Question & Answer
