See below for a long list of things to try.. The big things are: making sure your room is comfortable, not too hot or too cold, don't eat a big meal just before bed-some say nothing for a couple hours before, use your bed only for sleep and sex; don't read/play games/watch TV in bed..

First of all stay hydrated because if you are dehydrated you will be more prone to insomnia.. Try this method.. Drink 6-8 oz of water then wet your finger and dab it quickly in sea salt.. Let the salt dissolve on your tongue it works like a charm and puts you in a hypnotic sleep.. Do not do it with out the water because if you consistantly do that with out the water you could get a bloody nose, and raise your blood pressure..
