Question: I found my sister playing with dolls.?
My younger sister is 19 yrs old and I found her at home yesterday, sitting down and playing with dolls. I know that she has a collection of collector dolls, but she was having an entire dialogue with them and everything.
My parents have been keeping her home a lot and restricting her for no good reason and I am a little bit worried. Should I be worried or do people do this when they are alone and or lonely.?

It sounds to me like she is very lonely and may be regressing to a time when going out and being sociable didn't matter because she had her doll friends. also, she is alone with seemingly nothing to do so maybe that was the best she could think of.

does sound a little weird.. one thing for her to do it while playing with a younger child but alone.. i would suggest talking directly to your parents about your concern. Perhaps they are already aware of something going on with your sister, either an internal or external factor that is causing change in behaviour and they have been protecting you from it.Health Question & Answer
She's probably just completely bored from sitting at home. Still, if she keeps it up, you might want to get your parents involved, or better yet, listen to what she is actually saying while playing with the dolls.

She sounds very lonely. Just ask her why she's playing with dolls and if there's anything wrong. Offer to take her out with you somewhere. If I saw my sister playing with dolls all bored, I'd ask her to go out or play a board/video game or something.Health Question & Answer
