Question: Obsessive Eating Habits.?
I have had a bad relationship with food for as long as I can remember. I either eat obsessively, or I quit eating altogether. I am working right now on developing a healthy relationship with food, but I don't even know where to start. Any advice.?Health Question & Answer

I'm so glad you asked this. I have been battling this all my life, as I'm sure you have been. I am beginning to realize that I eat from stress or anxiety. So when I started feeling fat and hating my body, suddenly I stopped eating. So first, try drinking eight glasses of water a day, and you might find you are less hungry. Eat healthier things like eggs, whole wheat bread/pasta, brown rice, meat, nuts, fruits, veggies. Try to create balanced meals, google a food pyramid for this. When you shop, avoid buying all the snacks like chips, cookies, cupcakes, etc. You will most certainly overeat on those. Go out once a week, and buy one small pack of chips and a small box of cookies. Make them last the entire week. Don't deny yourself anything, but eat half as much as you would, wait ten minutes, and if you are hungry, eat a tiny bit more. Everything in moderation as they say it. Health Question & Answer

I've found myself the same way overeating and not eating at all. What I'm doing now is trying to keep myself from getting to hungry because when I don't eat ,later I over indulge. I just eat three times a day and I stop when I feel almost full.It takes discipline.Health Question & Answer
