Can a person with depression and anxiety get financial help in Canada if coping with work seems impossible?!
Question: Can a person with depression and anxiety get financial help in Canada if coping with work seems impossible.?
My depression and anxiety is ever increasing with each day at my current job. I feel trapped. I'm currently taking some distance education courses to make a career change, but it will be approximately 2 years before I am done. I have gone for some interviews for jobs in my current field, but they have gone poorly (I believe because of my anxiety, low self-esteem and strong desire to get out of this field). I cannot afford to not work full-time, but if there is some assistance out there, perhaps I could find a part-time job that wouldn't cause such wear and tear on my mental state. Does anyone know of resources in Canada that could help.?Health Question & Answer

All provinces have disability programs through the respective Social Services departments. This is cost - shared with the federal government. You will need a Dr.'s certification that you can't work. The rules depend on each provinces criteria.Health Question & Answer
