How do i handle people who belittle me, talk down to me, treat me as inferior , treat me as a charity case ?!


Question: How do i handle people who belittle me, talk down to me, treat me as inferior , treat me as a charity case .?
ive had a very misfortunate life so far, iam 30 now, ive aged with stress, i live alone within my own apartment, i own nothing cept a computer, i live on disability and iam starting from scratch aiming to try and achieve personal goals of EMIGRATING FROM BRITAIN . ive never formed any relationships because of rage problems and social problems , including low self worth.

i suffered alot of bullying in life.

i get lonely and feel abandoned, especially at weekends.

i dont really have anyone except my mother, and the mental health team whom i am cooperating with to get help.

my diagnosis is BPD and ptsd.

thers times when people are aloof with me, non accepting, belittle me, treat me as inferior, condescend me , treat me as some desperate desperado case that society has outcasted..

like i need them , like their my only hope and i need them to save me..

i think ' fck them ' - and i normally feel like kicking them hard and shoving them down concrete steps - they make me so enraged.

in general, idont live in the roughest area but there is antisocial types, no hopers, antisocial gangs of teens that are aggravating to live around who i dont want anything to do with.

and until such a time as i can permanently leave britain i mind my own Business and have NOTHING to do with them.

Answers:
I think the first thing you need to accept is that you are in control of your own destiny and stop blaming other for your current situation.

Wherever you live you will be the same person, with the same issues and same positive traits. Emigrating is simply something that you have convinced yourself will solve your problem. Trust me, it won't.

You clearly have a good team around you who are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.To address your points in order:

1. I would love to live alone and not have to worry about anyone else apart from myself; to be messy when I wanted to be and not have to take orders from anyone

2. Trust me, your rage is far from unusual, and for the average British life, rage is a perfectly reasonable and understandable reaction.

3. As far as people being aloof with you, most people experience people who patronise and condescend to them, it is nothing unusual.

4. The worst thing that you can do is to prove everybody else right by being violent and aggressive to people.

The most important thing to remember is that wherever you go, there you are and running away is not going to solve your problems.

Eventually you will get yourself straight. Until then, the important thing is to focus on treating others as you would like to be treated, no matter what you think of them.

It sounds like you are having a really rough time, I am sorry. It is certainly no way to live. I am hoping that you are on some medication. You say you are continuing on with a Mental Health Team that is good. I know this would be very difficult but if you can learn just to ignore the people without Hating them. Hate hurts only the person doing the hating. It can really eat away at you. You also seem to have a lot of anger, that to is going to upset only you not the people it is directed at, since it is internal. Have you talked to your Mental Health team about these feelings, because they maybe could give you some ways to cope without having to carry around all those angry feelings. It is too bad that you don't have more outside interests you can be involved in. How about Library's or Book Stores anything that you might enjoy. Even going for a walk somewhere that is comforting to you that you can forget about the jerks in this world. They will always be around in one form or another. wow that sucks sorry bout that. but yea just try 2 ignore them and think of things that r negative about them and remember them and next time they say something say the negative thing abuot them and make sure its embarrasing cuz then they wont want 2 b embarrased again so they wont say anything 2 u again. a blunt or 2 also wouldnt hurt. good luck

As someone who has been called Borderline Personality Disorder myself, I can tell you to find a local group of people with mental illness to meet with for free weekly. also, religion is a good escape, and going to a church is helpful in meeting people. also, talk to a psychiatrist, and a psychologist since you have socialized medicine. Your picture of the world and the people around you are all a result of your rage issues and low self esteem. And where in the world are you going to find that is any different.? I'm not guessing you will be any happier somewhere else, and you won't have your mother OR your mental health team there to help you out (in Brazil for instance).
I think you need to deal with your problems where you are, and try to gain real contact to people say through a club of some kind, like dance or crafts or making clothes or something else you may like.
Then the world won't seem like such a bad place.

Wow im really sorry.
The most you can do is ignor them, because you know your NOT all those things. People in this world are cruel. And try not to have any feelings of really hurting someone, that doesnt help your situation. But if you aparnemnt complex allows it maybe you could get a companion like a small dog or cat even a bird! =)
They make great company. You dont need to feel lonley on the weekends you can go read and sit at a park, its always very nice there. And maybe you will find someone sitting on a bench and you can sit next to them and start a conversation by simply asking if they know what time it is. Then you can kinda lean back on the bench for a second and just sorta sigh and ask how there day is going.?
