Suicide Support Groups?!
Question: Suicide Support Groups.?
Are they for people that have lost loved ones to suicide.? For people that have attempted suicide.? Or for people who have loved ones that have attempted suicide.? The reason I ask is I have an older brother that attempted suicide about 2 weeks ago. It has completely thrown our family for a loop and I wanted to know if there was a support group for a situation like that other than individual counseling. Health Question & Answer

There is an organization called Survivors of Suicide Loss. Here is a link to the San Diego one, but it is part of a National Organization. My cousin committed suicide last month. I am considering attending one of these suuport groups. Meeting with a counselor was okay, but i need more. And unless someone has experienced it themselves, they dont understand. They can sympathize, but they cannot empathize.
