Is alcohol a depressant or an anti-depressant?!

It is a central nervous system depressant, and has a residual effect. That means it build up in the cells and neurons, and will take time even after no alcohol is being consumed to be purged from the system. It also alter the bio chemical balance of the brain, and will cause mental problems.
