Sounds like you just have a case of the 'Bad Boy Complex'.

Bad boys have three things that make women swoon:

1. Mysterious- bad boys often harbor horrible secrets. Maybe about their past, or who they came from. But either way...there is usually something that triggered a change in them and made them who they are.

So women being closely related to felines( ha ha) are often incredibly curious to find out all of their dark secrets. So that is one level of attraction towards them.

2. Powerful - bad boys -- whether they are or not -- often exhume a confident aura. They seem like they are in control...or important. They are the type of people who feel like they could do anything..and have the balls to do it.

So women in turn find that confidence and power extremely attractive. Could you imagine all the things a man like that could do for you.? Get you anything you want, show you things you never thought you'd get to learn about.

Power is extremely attractive.

3. This one is a combination of Power and Mystery. Put together into the sexual attraction to the character. Because you are curious to know their secrets and because you want to understand their confidence and understand how they have the inner power they do....and also KNOWING they are unpredictable - is an explosive mixture that can elude to a wild time in the bedroom.

Almost every woman will admit to wanting to just be over taken by a dark, mysterious, powerful man. How exhilarating it would be to have him shove you up against a wall in an alley way and have him show you a brief glimpse of the freedom he chooses to experience everyday. Not following the rules can be nice. (but once again takes the power that he holds in order to live it)

And another one that is vitally important to all of this:

Bad Boys are often disastrously good-looking and often have gorgeous smiles if they so happen to spare one for you.

---Of course...these are all theories hypothesized from my own experiences. So take them as you will.

Agreed with above. It's very common for females to be attracted to tougher guys. Males may find it admirable. It may also be the fact that the antagonist in a film/story is the representation of rebellion. Rebellion can also be admirable to some people.

I'm the same way. The villains, psychos, evil etc characters (male or female) always seem to be my favorite in a film or story.Health Question & Answer

There is no limit in the professional literature about the attraction of women to "bad" men including sadists and sexual sadists. Freud himself spend years working on this attraction and came up with several interesting theories involving the father figure and authority. Sadism is a form of emotional regression, that is to say, a sort of emotional starvation analogous to and produced by malnutrition in infancy, or improper weaning, he would say

One might say that all eroticism insufficiently freed from the nutritive instincts constitutes sadistic love. Sadism is above all the expression of the desperate desire for possession and, because the instinct of hunger carries with it the element of cruelty, the sadist derives gratification by the suffering he inflicts on the object of his desire.

Women who are attracted to "bad men" often are wanting the excitement and the attention that men bring to them; conversely some of them want the attention from other men that being with a sadist brings; for others they crave the sexual sadism that often comes along with the company of sadists.

This is of course, a generalization...your mileage will vary.Health Question & Answer
