Hi, Im seeing a psychiatrist for severe depression and anxiety. My next appointment isnt for 3 months. This is way too long for me to cope on my own but I dont want to ask for a sooner appointment. Im just wondering if any of you have seen psychiatrists for this type of problem, how often did you see them.?Health Question & Answer

Call for another appointment sooner or ask the shrink for a counselor's name, someone you can see weekly, rather than seeing the shrink more frequently. Shrinks love to do the pill fix, while a psychologist or a counselor will do therapeutic discussion with youHealth Question & Answer
ive never heard of a psychiatrist office where you have to wait 3 months for an appt. thats not right, you should try looking into another office and go once a week
