i asked my phycology teacher the same thing in class last week about autism
he says that the baby will not have autism . and the chances are in the very high
90 percentile . he say "all extremes progress toward the mean"
which means that the genes progress towards normality.
but that only refers to extremes. and bipolar refers to an extreme .
ex. 2 very tall people will not have an even taller child because the genes work toward normality . 2 midgets will not have midget children . if our genes did not work toward normality then we would be in a world where tall people kept getting taller . and small people keep getting smaller

Since the parents are both bipolar, I would assume that the children would be bipolar as well. Then again it can go the other way around.Health Question & Answer
