People with Bipolar disorder can live normal lives with good treatment. Therapy will help a lot in trying to lessen the mood swings.
uhmm bipolar disorder doesn't make you start a task then move to something else without finishing it. I think that is more on the lines of ADD (kind of). By racing thoughts do you mean lots of things going on in your head (hard to concentrate on one thing; easily distracted).?
