I have a mild form of it and one minute i can be depressed,miserable etc. and the next really happy, and for no reason my emotions just switch..
Mainly i get angry very easily at the slightest thing and i also have paranoia .So if im sat at a bus stop and a group of guys are laughin next to me,ill automatically think its about me,i know its weird but thats what happens.
I went to the doctors for help and she explained that i have a mild form of bipolar.

I have bipolar disorder and many times people mispercieve it with mood swings, however, the change in mood often isn't in a moment and can last for months and months...when I am manic I get very high energy, I don't sleep well, and get very reckless and self-destructive tendencies, however I get a feeling of power, I haven't gotten manic in almost two years. I get very bad depressive episodes, that sometimes can leave me immobile for weeks, however with medication and therapy I am able to not only deal with it, but I am gainfully employed and chasing my dream of being a musician....Health Question & Answer
i know exactly where your coming from i have rapid cycling bipolar with a fw other things mixed in, i am on lithium they are mood stablizers and could help you a lot also i am on ad's, and olanzapine an anti psych as i am also a self harmer.
if your case is really mild then i would probably advise some CBT it is great and could really help you if you feel meds are not the way to go. speak to your GP about getting the therapy. Health Question & Answer

Your case is certainly not mild if you can have a mood swing that fast, dear. Mine take months and mine isn't mild either. I take Lamictal and have for a year now and my life is easier now than it's ever been...EVER! It has no effect on me anymore.Health Question & Answer
