There is no time limit. Addiction does not work like that.
The withdrawal symptoms are not what addiction is. Addiction is how much we feel we want or need the drug in question.
For example, a diabetic is never considered a drug addict despite needing a drug every day of their lives. If they suddenly didn't need insulin they would stop taking it.
Someone on valium will be thinking...this stuff relaxes me, calms me down etc Thinking that he has to give up those 'benefits' is what causes the difficulty in addiction.
