Wow, you really need to look it up. I found this on a medical site: "The maximum recommended dosage is 60 mg/kg/day." Most of the sites, and the doctors that have treated me have said that the max dose that should be given is 1000mg per day.

I know that you can overdose on depakote. It can cause not only liver damage but, confusion and other mental problems.

I would check with both your doctor and your pharmacist. Be careful.
