Why does my mother always get frustrated?!

Question: Why does my mother always get frustrated.?
When I'm talking about things, my mum will start to act like she finds everything I say, is "impossible", or "difficult" for example, I was just talking about a condition some children suffer from, from time to time, called "restless legs syndrome" and she became totally incensed, and assumed that I was saying I had suffered from an extreme disorder, but this was something I read about, on the Internet, which referred to something small, where children get restless in bed. I never meant that, but she was still acting like I meant something different, and more serious.

I find she reacts like this, a lot these days, to most things, everything inflames her and makes her incensed. also many of her responses are cutting, and sarcastic, designed to make you feel inferior, or stupid, like "what do you think it is", when there could be many possible answers to a question. She acts like I'm dumb, but I'm not. I'm asking reasonable questions, but she doesn't seem to want to engage in any exploration of a topic, whereas I enjoy learning about, and debating things. The next time this happens, turn the tables. Ask her if SHE is okay.? Is anything bothering HER.? This will make her realize that whatever she is going through, it is being felt and heard by you and it's not good. She definately has some issues maybe she's afraid to share or bother you with.Health Question & Answer

There is a possibility your mother is going through her own dramas of which you are not aware. Your continual attempts to open a discussion at a time she might need peace might be really annoying her - mothers are just kids that have aged you know, she is still young in herself and needs lots of tender loving care, just about as much as you do - give her some space but still be there if she needs you, it won't last forever.Health Question & Answer
