Addiction, depression, nervous breakdown.?!

Question: Addiction, depression, nervous breakdown..?
I've recently spent a week in a psychiatric hospital. I got addicted to Lorazepam (Ativan, Tranquipam). The docter stopped my Lexapro 20 mg. I'm now on Wellbutrin (Zyban) 150 mg a day, Lamictin 100 mg, Seroquel 200 mg and Epilim 300 mg. I'm still depressed like hell, I've tried all the SSRI antidepressants and go for therapy. What can I possibly try to get better.?Health Question & Answer

I can fully identify with your situation. From my own experience it just make take a combination of different medication before they get you stable.

When this happened to me I felt like a genie pig for trying new medicine when the doctor found the right ones. I know we want an instant cure or fix, but hang in there you're not alone.

It literally takes 4 to 6 weeks to get the medicine in your blood stream. Good Luck!Health Question & Answer

You've probably not been on them long enough yet for them to 'saturate' your system. The meds you are currently taking are commonly used for bipolar treatment.

However if you're feeling worse; call your doctor.

Best wishes :)Health Question & Answer
