Question: Why does my mother treat me like this.?
She yells at me, telling me things like "you don't care about anything, you'll be a burger flipper when you grow up, you're gonna be a loner all your life (she says that because I have no friend even though she knows i have SAD) " she actually says these things, but in an awful manner. She screams at me, she slaps me several times if i get really angry when she does that. When I was sucidal, instead of making me feel better all she said (or more like yelled) was "it's your fault you made your life like this so quit complaining". I was crying telling her I was feeling suicidal, and I told her why and she just kept yelling at me.I just don't understand why she does this and doesn't feel anything when i cry.

Your mother wanted you to be something, and you are not that thing.
She doesn't want you to die, but she DOES think you're bluffing, and she DOES want you to feel like it's your fault.
If she means what she says, or if she didn't mean it and was just angry, it still sounds like something only a TOTAL tightass bizotch would say.

I'm sorry your mom is this way. Some people just don't know what to do about things they don't understand. Sounds like she is lashing out at you in frustration, maybe thinking you seeing her upset will make you 'snap out of it'. Remember, suicide is PERMANENT. You never get a 2nd chance. Well if you can prove it and want to make her stop you could call the social services in your local town or city, and tell them you'd like to find someone that you can talk to about what your going thru..

I know how you feel... i am the outsider in my family my siblings are angels while i get beaten and ignored. I tryed to kill myself a little less than half a year ago but that didnt help it hasnt changed... I am 14... miserable and lonely and still think of killing myself... you can email me if you want we can talk...

go talk to a counselor at school or college they're free pretty sure Health Question & Answer
