I'm 13 and i think I'm depressed?!


Question: I'm 13 and i think I'm depressed.?
Am i.? heres my Symptoms:
I am losing intress in alot of this anymore. Im always sad and fell like crying. I cant sleep. I CANT FOCUS IN SCHOOL and it fells like i cant do anything....also im having thoughts of killing my self.......

This is happening to me, too, Sweetie, but the only difference is I'm 16.
It could be...
A)hormones
B)there's something you're depressed about, but your brain won't focus on it for too long (the human mind is weird like that, apparently)
C)you ARE depressed, and you know why..
D)bottled up depression/sadness
or.....
We're both just going insane =/

I don't know about you, but I'm too embarrassed to ask for professional help, or to at least talk to my mom about it. I'm afraid I'm just going to start to cry in front of them when I admit it, because I've been crying for the most stupidest things lately. =/

It's probably just hormones. Or stress.
Just... ignore it unless it become a huge problem, then talk to someone about it.

13 is a hard age for young girls. especially with all the life changes and then you add school and family to that. The chances are you probably are depressed but more because your bodies hormones are out of whack right now. My suggestion would be to talk to your parents if possible. If not then speak to your school counselor. They can give you suggestions on how to help get yourself out of the depression as well as showing you how to talk to your parents about the problems. If youre not comfortable with either of these suggestions at least call your local teen hotline to talk to someone. Suicide is a serious topic and although right now you only think of it, if the depression gets the best of you you might not be able to stop your actions. Yes, chances are you could be. I went through depression when I was your age too. Try to get yourself a hobby, and keep yourself busy.
Depression usually is an imbalance of chemicals (serotonin) in the brain, so it won't help to force yourself to be happy.

You need to talk to a family member or friend about this. Or see a counselor or a doctor about the depression and possibly get anti-depression pills, because I've seen people who've taken those desperate actions when they were depression and it's hard on everyone.

So try to make an effort in life, try to do things you enjoy (going out with friends, for walks, play video games). :) Life really isn't that bad when you make it through the hard things.Health Question & Answer

Tell your parents. You need to talk to someone asap. Moreover, worries should start in your late 20's; not when your 13. The only thing you need to worry about is having fun.

The best home fix is working out; get fit and strong. It truly enhances your confidence, thus, making the trial in life much easier. Working out hard will keep your mind off whatever problems are on your mind. also, your body starts changing after a few weeks in a positive and appealing way.

Yes Iwould say you are depressed.
But its just a temporary condition, please just talk to someone and DO NOT kill yourself or do anything you shouldnt, tell your parents or a good friend and you will feel better, if it gets too bad then maybe some counselling.

u r just a teenager goin thru a normal phase of life sweetie..relax..dnt start labellin urself just yet ..try to figure out why u r feelin sad and lost there must be a reason and i m sure it must seem alarming to u but its ok..u will get over it..get involved in more activities join a school club or some other extracurriculars, read ,exercise do anything that makes u feel good..talk with friends or family.."make urself happy"..i m sure things will fall in their place..cheers..'

When I had depression at 12/13.. the phycologists didnt help. The only thing that helped me was making a target in life and going for it. Now im training to be an airline pilot.. all because of that little depression fase.
