i really do.
ugh just thinking about them. they look like scabs. ughhhh not like the shiny silver ones but the ones that rotate with the rainbow color lights. AHHH

I have two phobias like this, one is balloons, and the other (much more serious one) is cotton balls. everyone thinks I'm crazy but I can't stand cotton balls, the sound they make and the way they look, ahh I'm gunna gag!!! Phobias are much different than the regular fears of the common folk. Phobias can actually alter a person's life and make it very difficult to live with. It effects them deeply and severely. You need to try doing some psychiatric research on phobias before you get on here and judge so hastily.)
And to the original poster, I've never known anyone to be afraid of disco balls. To some it may sound ridiculous, but then again, many are deathly afraid of clowns and I never understood that either.
If you feel like discussing this phobia (without getting ridiculed, that is) consider visiting a site that could help you learn to cope. They deal with many phsychological problems like this and they're all very friendly. Participate in the forums and you'll most likely see that you're not alone. They also have a therapist who helps deal with issues we encounter. A live chat, as well.
