I had a mixed episode (I'm bipolar), which where you're manic and depressed at the same time. I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, had tons of energy and rage... but I was also paranoid and having nearly constant panic attacks and delusions. I literally believe that if there were a hell, it would feel like that. Mixed episodes have the highest suicide rate of any bipolar episode, because you want to die and you have enough energy to do something about it.

When my boss at work lied about me and caused me to have a total crisis of confidence, a nervous breakdown, if you like.
I had been doing a job I loved and was good at, and he made me feel a complete failure. We have no children, and I had put everything into my career instead, and my husband was posted away from home for a long while.
It took about 6 months for me to come out of the worst bit, but I still get moments of doubt about my abilities.

It was the day my best friend got killed.

Well it started going downhill two years ago but my lowest point was the beginning of June 2008, lasted a month or two being really low, still a bit low now but June was my lowest :(
