Question: When you're a schizophrenic, what do the voices inside your head sound like.?
Do the voices sound like real human voices or something else.? Sometimes I'll get these negative thoughts, fears, and worries in my head, but they don't sound like voices.

The voices of a patient such as you describe are not "voices" at all. They stem from some kind of broken part in the brain. The brain interprets meaning, but since there is no physical voice, there is no aural memory. What I mean is, there is no memory of pitch or sound. Only the meaning of the message. It will never be disputed that there was a "voice" but to describe that voice would be impossible, seeing as there was no actual sound memory.
However it is possible for the voice to be interpreted as a voice that was once heard- such as Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, a relative, coworker, etc. Something long forgotten perhaps.Health Question & Answer

It sounds like a stereo tape recorder inside your head saying the same thing over and over again.! and it doesnt sound just like a ordinary thought you know the difference when you get this, or it can sound like a stereo record player thats got stuck saying sentaces like the cat sat on the mat the cat sat on the mat over and over again!Health Question & Answer
they are someone elses voice, sometimes for me its all in rewind or now sounding more clearer just sayin im fat,ugly,bad and i need to cut myself and die. I saw a show one time that said that most schizophrenics recognize their own inner dialogue as another voice... like instead of knowing that these are their own thoughts, they hear it as if someone else is speaking to them.Health Question & Answer
