I have no web site, just personal experience.

I have been diagnosed with a form of (oh oh here is the word) schizophrenia. I am not on drugs for it. My kid who is a adult is on drugs for it. Different people, deal differently.
I learned to deal when drugs were not a option, plus I would not go to doctors for this until in my 30's, typical!

When I did HAVE to go to the mental people (no choice) I tried there ADHD drugs (ADHD is acceptable condition). Gained 40 pounds!! Made me lazy! Seriously!

The hallucination (site and sounds) really that bad.? If you realize talking about them in public, to even doctors, acting on them. Talking back, freaking out, or caring so much that someone sees what you do these kinds of actions WILL get you put into a institution which is more scary for me personally.

Everyone talks to themselves, come on they do. There are ways to mask the need to talk back, or whatever to the hallucinations you really don't know they are not there until you get "the look" from someone, or a lot of people. Family who cares!

There are ways of adapting without MH drugs. You need to find out what works for you! What works for you to be happy and content with yourself. Except what can not change, never give in or up to what society says is "normal". Live for those you love, and who love you back. Turn your back on those who don't return your love.
