What method(s) do you use to calm Borderline Personality Disorder's crazy emotion?!

Question: What method(s) do you use to calm Borderline Personality Disorder's crazy emotion.?
I was diagnosed as BPD when in early adolescence. Now I have already grown out of many defined characteristics like reckless driving, impulsive anger (towards others), stormy relationships and whatnot. HOWEVER, there is still one thing going on which I don't think my shrink or CBT can help me for so many years.
i.e. All of the sudden out of nowhere and nothing or when there is a little trigger which reminds me of past unhappy things, I will suddenly feel very uncomfortable in a sense that my chest has enormous pressure (then pain), then I feel choked and I will "look" as if I am very angry suddenly (which I don't aware)....if these uncomfy feelings last for too long, I'd have urge to hurt myself (e.g.cutting). I knew it's no good but I in fact need lots of strength and energy to fight those feeling (e.g.holding fist and sit on a chair without moving)....(after that I'd be dead tired, headache..etc.) If I win, I win. If I lose, I'd have more scars on arm. I wonder what do you do (at that very moment) when you are attacked suddenly by those uncomfortable feelings arising from BPD (except cutting).? Which methods you've used you think are the most workable for you.? I would like to know...especially 1) you ARE diagnosed w/ BPD 2) being attacked by those feeling quite often and 3) you are a "cutter". THANKS ALL.

Answers:
Write yourself a letter when you're feeling good. Why you can't cut, why you should be happy. I get depressed and those "boutes" once in a while and want to cut (even after not cutting for 3 years). But I just breathe deep many many times and just cry it out. Take a shower and cry your eyes out until the water runs cold. Go for a walk until you calm down. Just get out of the situation that you usually cut in. Health Question & Answer
