Is this a withdrawal side effect from Seroquel?!

Question: Is this a withdrawal side effect from Seroquel.?
Alright so I went cold turkey on 400mg. While i was sleeping I woke up suddenly from an extreme pain in my lower left leg. It felt as if I had just ran a marathon on that leg. So, would this be involuntary muscle movement (a withdrawal symptom) or could it possibly be something more serious.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Its probably withdrawal from seroquel. I stopped cold turkey too and i was on 900mg a day. I was in such pain for almost 2 weeks it took me to stop having pain. I couldn't sleep either, but in the end it was worth it.
Good luck.Health Question & Answer

Seroquel (or Quetiapine) does not generally present with withdrawal symptoms. I would ask you to look for symptoms of increased temperature, agitation, palpitations and increasing muscle stiffness, all of which suggest a condition known as NMS or neuroleptic malignant syndrome, which requires urgent management. Otherwise these seem to be just muscle contractions which are part of the EPS (Extrapyramidal symptoms), for which your doctor can prescripe anticholinergics. Health Question & Answer
