Try some relaxing techniques before you study such as yoga and this should help.. You may be having issues sleeping as well and this will cause these problems.. Try taking 3mg of melatonin for about 2 nights and if you don't see any results stop the melatonin.. If results are see you may want to consider taking 3mg before bed for a few months or longer if needed. If you have a boyfriend make him do some work and give you a massage for a few nights I don't think that will kill any man...

There are many factors involved in the reception of the message when a person is reading. The first of these is that the reader must pay attention. Paying attention is a body function, and therefore does not need to be taught. However, paying attention as such is a function that is quite useless for learning, because it is only a fleeting occurrence. Attention usually shifts very quickly from one object or one thing to the next. The person must be taught to focus his/her attention on something and to keep his/her attention focused on this something for some length of time. When a person focuses his/her attention for any length of time, we refer to it as concentration. Paying attention therefore, is the body function that makes the skill of concentration possible, just as the functions of seeing and hearing make the skills of looking and listening possible.Concentration rests on two legs. First, it is an act of will and cannot take place automatically. The will to focus attention on the message must be sustained in order to carry out all the actions needed to fully comprehend the message. Second, it is also a skill, and therefore has to be taught. :)las08-------Health Question & Answer

I found this website called Improving Your Concentration hopefully this helps.http://www.k-state.edu/counseling/topics...
I also find taking a break helps. Studying at a coffee shop works for me. Libraries I find are too quiet and cause my mind to wander. Get up stretch and jog in place. Cut off the cell phone and put on classical music or jazz (music with no words so you will not concentrate on singing along). I hope this helps good luck on your tests.Health Question & Answer

when you start reading dont get frustrated with yourself and go ugh i cant concentrate just relax and take deep breaths and read,if it gets boring take a brake. its not because of you, every body has a lot of thoughts and if what you are reading isnt interesting its hard to stay focused just try you best! hope that helped...=]Health Question & Answer

Do u smoke.? Cut back. Do u drink caffeine.? Cut back. They interfere with your attention span..and make reading more difficult

it helps to picture the words in your mind. Picture the scenes and all that in your mind. Then you will be immersed in the book. Dont continue reading if you dont have an IMAGE of what ur reading in ur mind. That helps Health Question & Answer

You probably need a break. I suggest taking a walk or doing something to get your mind off of schoolwork for a bit and then try coming back to it...you should be refreshed. Good luck!!Health Question & Answer
