I went through that fear a while back. It is like a fear of going crazy...because thats what it would be if you went through with it right.? Like you dont trust yourself.? I used to be so afraid I was going crazy ..my boss told me something that helped...if you are going crazy, you arent going to be aware of it..It will just happen..So ..dont worry, you will be fine..you are just a "what if" person. So am I..I love kids so much. But, I am panicky about babysitting because I have a fear of going crazy and not being able to care for someone elses kid...its so stupid because I know I can..it is all because I underestimate myself and have a trust issue with myself...For no reason!!! Dont worry u arent alone with this!!Health Question & Answer

You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....
