not too long ago, i had a dream, and it ended, but i wouldnt wake up like i wanted to. Its like my mind...or inner me was consumed in this darkness, and i was trying to find a way out, until i started scratching, and made my way out, and thats when i woke up.Health Question & Answer

I have experienced this many times. It is sometimes referredd to as sleep paralysis, and it can be caused by many things. Usually it is fine, and you will come out of it very easily. Sometimes when it lasts longer than normal, I start forcing myself to scream in my mind, finally I let out this wee little yelp, and when I do I am able to wake up.
