I'm starting to not feel anything or care?!

Question: I'm starting to not feel anything or care.?
To start out with, I have been depressed for over 15 years. Lately, a lot of things have been going wrong and it seems like they have been coming at me all at once. I'm a "fixer", so I wanted to take on these problems and fix them. But the more I try, the more I fail.
I'm getting to the point where i just don't care anymore. I just stopped trying. I wonder "what's the point.?".
I don't know what to do or handle anything anymore.Health Question & Answer

Well you are already aware that you suffer depression. Are you in any treatment for this, any medications, therapy etc.? If you are already getting help with that, your recent added distress could be due to a need of medication changes or the like. You should speak with the person you're already seeing about this.

#2 I'm a fixer type too, I become very distressed if I am unable to fix or alleviate a problem for a friend or family member, but sometimes I have to just stand back from the situation and realize, it's not my problem and if I can't fix it, there may be a reason for that, maybe that person needs to fix it on their own, because it will help to teach them lessons that will help them not to get into that type of problem again.

You should just sit back a little bit and relax, take some you time, and breath a little. Everything will be okay and you'll need some self repair time, in order to help anyone else anyways. Get things for yourself in order, so that when you're trying to help other people face their problems, you're more equipped to do so.

Good luck, and God bless and keep you.

Hey,

It's not up to you to solve everyone's problems. No wonder you're depressed. I'm guessing anyway, that at least some of these problems are other peoples'. In fact, your wording suggests that you have the choice as to whether you get involved in these problems or not.
If I'm right, then other people are 100% responsible for themselves and their problems. Let them deal with their problems and you get yourself on track. If you go fixing everything for everyone else, chances are you'll get a pat on the head and thoroughly taken advantage of.
I speak from experience.
People will continue to put their stuff on you because they think that you enjoy it. It probably wouldn't be hard for them to see that it can add to your depression but people don't see what they don't want to see.

Very best of luck
