How long does Prozac/Fluxotine take to work? Did it help you?!

Question: How long does Prozac/Fluxotine take to work.? Did it help you.?
Answers:
I can take up to 21 days for you to build up to a "working dose" in your system. You should start to see some results within a week or so, and the full benefits within about 3 or 4 weeks. Yes, Prozac (and all of the antidepressant drugs) do help with depression. Some of these medications can have side effects, so if something doesn't seem right -- talk to your doctor right away.Health Question & Answer

Took about 7 days before I started perking up. Mind you, I had to put up with headaches, dizzyness, loss of appetite, sickness, restlessness, hallucinations and muscle tremors. I've been on it for about 6 weeks, and I still get muscle tremors, hallucinations and appetite problems.

But yes, they did work for me, and frankly, the side effects aren't that troublesome after about the first 10 days. Not compared to the depression, anyway.Health Question & Answer

I have been taking 20mg for 7 weeks now, the first 5 weeks were a nightmare, I felt worse than I did before I started on them, I was like a zombie all day, so tired, I would "nap" for about 3 hours each afternoon. I feel a slight improvement but the only problem I have is that they are causing me weird, vivid and sometimes disturbing dreams. All the best!Health Question & Answer

I take zoloft. I could feel results within the 1st few days, however it can take up to 6weeks for these meds to work. Just make sure you take them at the same time everyday to get best results.Health Question & Answer
