I understand your fears. I had a very good job at a newspaper and I specialized in areas that no other graphic artist did. Math, research, databases and I understood business and economics. I always got good performance reviews and promotions over 25 years.
I started having problems with anxiety and depression. I was sick allot over two years as doctors tried to find the right meds. It was the worse time I could of become ill. They switched me to a new boss who was clueless. With advertising down managers instilled fear into their staff. When I made a mistake he would give me a hard time. Nobody else got the kind of grief I did. Working on a tight deadline, little mistakes were always being made by everyone. The company wanted to reduce staff and the weakest links were bullied. I felt insecure, which fed my depression and anxiety and made me make more mistakes and ultimately I cracked and I was too run down and took a buyout.
Yes it's very hard to feel confident again after the last job. Yes people make mistakes . It's okay to be a bit paranoid, it keeps you on your toes.
Do the best you can and eventually you will lose that feeling. I always had to take notes, recheck my work 3 times. also take notes so you can defend any of your actions or productivity levels. Be a great happy employee and get along with everyone. Learn from your past mistakes, was it concentration and focus.? Are you sleeping, eating and exercising to keep your stress levels normal. I found out I had ADD and there were things that I didn't do well - small boring repetitive tasks.
Good luck and don't worry.Health Question & Answer

Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. Try not to worry so much -- I bet there are those around you who think you are doing a great job. I am not sure what you mean by you were bullied out of your last job, but if you mean you were told you weren't doing a good enough job by co-workers so many times that you felt you should just quit -- Don't listen to them. Or, take their "constructive criticism" and use it to better yourself! Don't worry, if you aren't doing a satisfactory job, someone in management will eventually find you and tell you.Health Question & Answer

Pay more attention to what you are doing and learn to make fewer mistakes. It starts with learning to type.

I am pretty sure that you are not too self critical, you probably evaluate yourself accurately (based on how you write and what you say) - but you are not making the right actions based on your evaluation. Instead of putting extra efforts in improving yourself, you are getting all "fearful".

It's all in the attitude, really, and you can become a better worker.Health Question & Answer

Yes every one makes mistakes , I once contacted my duty officer regarding my mental health and she asked for my name then said to me are you such and such from number 7 and I said no you got the wrong person i live at number 88 now that was a duty nurse who got me mixed up and not only did she get me mixed up but I now know that there is some one in my block with mental health issues.

So we all make mistakes and I can tell you many more.

I am also bullied more now that I am a adult too, just keep remembering that the bully is the one with the problem not you.Health Question & Answer

No one is perfect my friend, everyone makes mistakes. Try not to be so hard on yourself! Just try to stay positive, and don't let the jerks you work with bring you down, that just means that they'll win again. You'll win by being the stronger person.
Your mistakes are a learning experience- you learn from them, that's why they're called mistakes. xxHealth Question & Answer
