Hello, I recently have been having difficulty sleeping, it started a month ago, I dont know why but I then started to just lie in bed and think about everything, the past, people, the future. I keep thinking up everything and by that time it's 2 O'clock. I also day-dream a lot now about random things. Sometimes I'll just want to think about something. Nothing helps and I am constantly tired now. What do I do.? I have so much on my mind I cant possibly say here. How can i get a good nights sleep for once.?Health Question & Answer

Start by making sure your room is exceptionally dark. To put your body in to sleep mode, the body releases a chemical called melatonin. However, even the light from an alarm clock facing you from the night stand can prevent the brain from dispersing this chemical.

From a "busy mind" point of view, you simply need to clear your mind. Which is of course easier said than done. Think of an object that makes you smile. A favorite flower or a silky scarf. Picture that item and only that item in your mind and then focus on it. Describe it to yourself, over and over again. At first, it'll feel like it isn't helping, but each night you practice this, the easier it will become to clear your mind and thus drift off. People who count sheep are actually exercising this process.

If I say stop thinking it wont work,so try to keep yourself bit busy on work .Go to gym talk to your friends which will make you more relax rather than just wondering in your own world.Once our mind is relaxed you wont be any more day dreamer.
you should talk to your nearest and dearest one about your feelings as I believe we keep thinking the things what we never gate a chance to talk about.in short when our answer are left unanswered.

You may have ADD! I couldn't believe it when my doctor told me but it effects different people in different ways.

I would think CONSTANTLY before I started taking Aderrall! Sometimes but not always It would keep me up at night. I used to get bad headaches at night because my brain was exhausted.

I have had problems in the past with allowing myself to stop stressing and to actually relax enough to drift off to sleep. I now have to each night listen to a cd that purposefully causes relaxation. Are you thinking about things that you need to get done or want to do.? If so, then have a pen and pad next to your bed, and write yourself a do-to list as you're thinking about things. You'll clear your head and stop re-hashing.

I've recently been going through that as well. After five p.m, limit caffeine. Use substitutes as in juice or decaffeinated tea. Listen to soothing music, that should get your mind off things. Don't worry about what happens in the past or in the future.Health Question & Answer

wow that is exactly what i am going through..i'm like a major insomniac...and well, insomniacs don't have bedtimes.. so i too would be lying awake in the wee hours of the morning. u probably just have too much on ur mind so ur all tense and it puts a lot of pressure on urself. i think it's more of a habit and something u cant really control. liek for me, i take a lot of naps during the DAY so it kinda ruins my sleeping pattern and on top of that i stress too much because im thinking all the time...just about possibly everything..so before i go to bed i like taking long hot baths or work out like crazy to get myself all worn out so i can just knock out..Health Question & Answer
