Panic attack help, please?!

Question: Panic attack help, please.?
I do these very rarely, but the one today was a nightmare!! I finally got it to calm down with some exercise (took two tries), but I'm still feeling a little stressed. And with no reason I can put my finger on, anyone have any tricks to fix this, please.? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You have a very good question.
Exercise gives you that "happy" chemical...endorphins.
Do things in moderation! (including exercise).
Have pleasant thoughts.
(every time a negative thought tries to come into your mind)...
replace those thoughts with positive thoughts.
This is something that you will continually need to do.
Continually discipline yourself in this area.
Make an affirmation stating you can go anywhere
and do anything.
"I can and I will" is the best and most determined affirmation
that you can make!
It is so powerful!
Forgive all that has ever hurt you.
(you do not have to agree with their behavior to forgive).
Do not let the ignorant comments of others bother you.
Keep moving forward!
Do not look back!
Press on!
I will pray to Heavenly Father through Jesus

I have had panic attacks for years and still do sometimes. I finally had to go on medication, I am really glad I did. Its helped alot. I also try to think of something else when I feel an attack coming on, I will play games on my cell phone, do stretching and breathing exercises, try to distract myself. Taking a hot bath helps. But the one thing for me that has made me be able to function normally again is the medication. I felt really bad about having to take it, like I was weak or something, and then I found out how many people suffer from this and how many people are on meds. and a lot of the time people only have to take it temporarily. Good luck, I know how frightening it can be, but you aren't alone! Take care.Health Question & Answer

I can relate to what you went through, it's a very scary place to be, but at least you didn't have to call 911, I did this a few years ago, I thought for sure I was having a heart attack or a stroke, so the fire department came into my home and checked all my vitals and told me I was having a anxiety attack, I was of course relieved but for some reason I kept fearing having another one, and sure enough I did, but I finally decided to work with my anxiety and became educated on what to do when anxiety hits, their are many ways to do this, as you did with your exercising, now this may not work for everyone, but finding whats right for you is the best way of working through panic.Health Question & Answer

That last guy is a jerk. Seriously panic attacks can be so scary and a health problem. When ever i have one I have to talk myself through it. I just tell myself that I am going to be o.k. It also helps if you rub your chest and take deep breaths. I have found that I have to lay on the ground while i am taking deep breaths to get the best results. Yoga helps with the breathing techniques. Praying never hurts either.Health Question & Answer
