Hi, today was a horrible day for me. I got so mad today it's unreal. First thing that happens to me is i wake up at 7:28 and i was supposed to leave to school at 7:30. The next thing happens is i can't find my glasses. I spend about 15-20 minutes doing that. I was almost late by like 2 minutes. Then when i am at school i go to 5th hour and i couldn't find my homework so i have to look for it at home. Then as the day goes by i get to 7th hour. In 7th hour i was absent in my teacher's class on thurday and friday and i didn't get my homework because of a lazy friend. I ended up getting a 0 out of 25 points. Then when i get home i look for my homeowrk for 5th hour and guess what.? I threw it away!!! that's like 40 points. Wow at this point i was so mad...i was idk i can't decribe my anger. When i couldn't find my glasses today i was so furious i felt like killing someone. My dad ended up buying me a new pair because i had like a warranty on my old ones. What do i do to calm down, my week has been horrible i am making bad grades and not doing good in school. Please help me i don't know what to do with myself anymore.Health Question & Answer

You need to get organized starting today! Prepare for tomorrow the night before. It sounds like you are depending on a lot of other people. You can't depend on other people. I'd advise taking a hot shower, and laying down and getting some good sleep. If you are having trouble with your classes, schedule some time with your guidance counselor, and tell them you feel stressed. Sometimes it helps to cry really hard and let the stress out. Then take a long nap. When you wake up, you'll feel better. I always listen to music. Sad or Happy, it helps alot. You will start to feel better. Whenever I have a bad day I usually like to be by myself for a while. Unless you feel like you need someone to talk to... then you should call a friend that can sympathize while you vent. well first, just realize there will be many worse things to come down the road..this is just preparing you for harder things. things will not always go as planned and mistakes happen. you need to just relax, which i know is hard when things are stressful, but the more you freak out, the more stressed you will get. just take it a step at a time. you gotyour glasses fixed, so that is taken care of. about your lost homework or whatever that you threw away, i would just redo it and talk to your teacher about it, maybe he/she will be understanding and give you at least some credit rather than zero. then, talk to your teacher that you missed class for on thur. and friday and ask her if you can make up the homework. but don't stress, you will probably have more homework to do for those classes which will make up for the ones you may not be able to redo. as long as you try hard and get good grades on the rest of the homework, you should be fine:)

Listen to your favorite song. Put it on repeat. If it's a depressing song, try to avoid that one. Pick something upbeat, put on something that you think makes you look reallly gooood. ROCK OUT for a few minutes.. dance around (with no one around) and laugh at yourself for being ridiculous. seriously, when i'm jumping up and down pretending to have a guitar and then playing drums in the air...and then running like a chipmunk or something, punching the air... at some point I just laugh.

I have really bad days... I've found this to be the most helpful.

If I'm really pissed, I go for a run and forget about things for a little. Then I make a plan about what I'm going to do.. Specifically. Wash hands, wash face. Sit... that specific. Then when I accomplish each thing, I check it off... it gives me some feeling of gratification.. like I'm worth something. It helps sometimes. Other times I just want to do the Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day thing and move the F to Australia.
