I've taken Buspar and you can stop anytime you want. It is not addictive so you will have no withdrawals.Health Question & Answer

My dr tried to give me Buspar. It is not a benzo, so you shouldn't have much of a side effect. Benzos however, will give you strong side effects. 20 days isn't very long though. I haven't taken Buspar, so always go by your dr's advice. I was given xanax, klonopin, and buspar for panic disorder and finally stuck to xanax. my pharmacist recommended not getting the buspar filled (she had heard people not getting help from it) and i read bad reviews on it. the klonopin made me extremely drowsy, but it's less addictive than xanax, so if it works for you, go for it. I found xanax to be my only help though along with lexapro. also, if you start the klonopin as soon as you stop the buspar, the klonopin should knock out any withdrawals anyways. good luck to you!Health Question & Answer
