I'm trying really hard to not be DEPRESSED?!

Question: I'm trying really hard to not be DEPRESSED.?
For the past 2 1/2 years I dealt with Kidney stone pain. For a long time I didn't even know it was a kidney stone. I thought maybe it was muscular back pain. Last summer I had a Lithotripsy to break up a 7mm kidney stone.
Then recently I went for a follow up appointment to have an ultrasound to see if there were any kidney stones left. They found no kidney stones...what a relief. BUT...they found a 2cm GALL STONE in my gallbladder...I've never had an attack from that. I never knew I had a Gall stone until a week ago. Now that I've put an end to my kidney stone, I have Gallstone pain to look forward to. I have no idea how I've had Kidney stones and now a Gallstone. The Doctor said it's really common, but I'm trying really hard to not be DEPRESSED.?
Any advice.? How can I not be depressed.?Health Question & Answer

There's no need to freak out, you won't have to suffer long because the treatment for gall stones is removal of the gall bladder which your doctor should be arranging now. Gall bladder removal is a very minor operation these days and you won't be laid up long at all. They don't cut any muscle tissue so recovery is quick and you can live a perfectly long, normal life without your gall bladder. The incision is only about an inch long so the scar is minimal. I know because I've had the procedure. Good luck and calm down.Health Question & Answer

live life and try not to go through the pain on you own Health Question & Answer

let me congratulate you first by admitting about your depression. You are ahead of the bunch. I say that because it took me 7 yrs to admit my depression. I have come to the other side and it was hard.

You will have people telling you that they are there for you and that life is short live it. But unless they have been there sometimes that makes it worse because they are not really listing to you, You have to take each day as it comes. There will be days that are fantastic and then you are going to have days were you wish you never got out of bed.

Then best thing I ever did and it took me 7yrs and that was to admit my depression. But seeing someone now is the next step forward to getting better. I can give you a few pointers. Whenever you are feeling down. Acknowledge it. Tell yourself that it is happening. Let people around you know. Watch an uplifting movie. Call a friend. Do these things.

also know that there are people that care. They will say the dumbest things its only because they don
