My friend and I have been drifting apart lately. She has Borderline Personality Disorder. She is my best friend. Yesterday loudly in front of everyone she talked about how the man who raped her was listening to this song she hated over and over. I am the only one who knows that he was the one who raped her. He was out of town for a while, he fled for some reason. When I asked her about it she replied to me in this evil tone of voice that I was drifting away and that she needed to grab my attention somehow and she walked away. Wtf. What should I do.?

excuse me but firstly people with mental illnesses aren't psycho.... she was trying to gain attention ok it was not the best way to do it at all,and it was shocking and un pleasant!!! people with BPD make frantic efforts when they feel there being abbandoned ,im not saying you were doing that but it is amazing how that feeling can almost come from the slightest thing... she sounds like she could do with extra support,plus it must be hard for you! i have BPD and i know my friends that do know found it hard,i lost my boyfriend- he couldnt cope,give her some and tell her it wasnt ok to speak like that ,its ok to do this,and reasure her you understand how painfull the rape must be, counselling would help her a lot, and no going to a psch ward like somone said wont help at allHealth Question & Answer
I don't know how old you are, but you should definitely talk to her parents about it or something, get more people involved because just you knowing isn't helping the situation at all. But parents definitely first, team up and see if you can come to some sort of agreement on some help.Health Question & Answer
