Question: How do you deal with clients who have challenging behavior.?
When you are working in say a mental health home, or a learning disability's place or a nursing home for example and you have alot of clients with challenging behavior how do you cope with this and help them to calm down when they may be abusive to you.?Health Question & Answer


Answers:
as calmly as possible, you have to be concerned, and show compassion. they may just be uncomfortable or had a bad experience before. try seating down with at eye level and using a calm(inside) voice. they could be just aving a bad day. if you tried all these things ask for help from yur suervisor or another person who you feel has more experience and time than you,Health Question & Answer

clients can take advantage that they are a client and act very immature. I really think you have to show them that even though hes a client and you are a professional, you wont tolerate certain behaviors.
