Answers:
Yes, Klonipan, (similar to Clonazepam and Clonidine in what they treat) it helps with panic disorders and/or sleeping...I stay with a low dose though. My experience with Xanax was not good, but every one is different chemically in their make-up.

What did you want to know.? Are you okay.? I hope you are under the care of a therapist. Let me know if you need further information. One star for putting yourself out there, it can help others. Bless your heart.Health Question & Answer

Benzodiazepines build up a tolerance over time, just like many other drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and even tobacco. This means that you have to take more and more to get the same effect. You should inform your doctor and (s)he will probably either give you more, or switch you to a different benzodiazepine. also you should be aware that most if not all benzodiazepines are addictive over periods of about 4 weeks of consistent use. Depending on your type of anxiety though, it's possible to just save them until you think you are or will have a panic attack.Health Question & Answer

I'm on Xanax and Klonipan. I take a small dose of xanax a day and 2 doses of Klonipan a day. I think the reason they stopped working for you is b/c your body is immuned to them. My docs want to take me off of Xanax b/c they are afraid I will get addicted and it will stop working for me and I will need to up my dose. I think Xanax is a wonder drug...I take it for insomnia and for the occasional out of the blue panic attack. Klonipans are good too to keep you balanced. Anyways I would tell your doctor that you believe your getting immuned to the dose and you need it increased. Make sure you tell him or her that your not addicted but that they really seem to help you. I gurantee 100% if you up your dose then the meds will work again. Health Question & Answer

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.

But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....

Most antidepressants don't work any better than placebos. In some studies, the placebo worked better. Health Question & Answer
