Is anyone taking Pristiq for ADD?!
Question: Is anyone taking Pristiq for ADD.?
I was on strattera and it hasn't been helping. So, today my pdoc put me on pristiq for my ADD. I can't take any stimulants because I am a recovering addict, so that's why he put me on this one next.
If you have been taking it for ADD or even depression... please tell me of your experiences. Is it hard to get off of once you have been on it for a while (like the other SNRI's).? I have been through that one time and it was horrible. I don't want to take it if it is hard to get off of (should i ever decide to).

As with any prescription you have to way out in your head whether or not the symptoms you are dealing with are severe enough that you want to take the risk to get better. Why are you already thinking about getting off the medication.? As far as my knowledge it would be a maintenance medication you would be taking for quite some time if it works for your symptoms unless they come out with a cure sometime soon.Health Question & Answer
