It would only seem logical that if you actually hurt or killed a child, that you would have been taken into custody or at least had a breathalizer test for alcohol and a blood test for drugs and possibly booked, especially if visions of bleeding children lying in the road...were true.

These visions that you are having....do you have a history or depression or some mental illness or possible drug use (even if you weren't doing drugs at that time).? If so, any of these things can make you feel paranoid.

It is sad that if indeed you were not at fault, that you are being charged. Damaging government property is the only thing you are being fined for right.? They somehow have deemed it was your fault and you destroyed a fence. Not a big deal, but they say it's your faulty driving.

You can just be very grateful children were not around when this happened! That fear may be what is prompting you to feel this way. What 'could have happened'.

If you had hurt someone, yes, they would have taken you to the police station or did a great deal of questioning you at the scene.

I would 1) Obtain the police report to alleviate your fears. It sounds like you are just deeply fearful, and it is not based on fact.

2) If these visions continue, please see a professional. If you don't have the money, there are still free mental health counselors to help people.

If anyone has to ask if they are crazy.....they aren't. Crazy people are too crazy to think they are crazy.

Please relax, get the proof you need from the police report... and then about the fine, you will have to inquire about legal help as you say, you feel you were not at fault. Even if you were a few miles over the speed limit on a rainy day in a school zone...that would be negligent.

Hope things turn out for you and I'm sure everything will be okay. You may just be highly sensitive and deeply upset over what happened...maybe in a bit of shock from it. Sometimes accidents trigger symptoms of PTSD as well. Therefore, if you still feel terrible emotionally, please go and see someone to talk it out.

I'm sure the cop would know if you had hit anybody, there would have been ambulances and everything. You only got a fine for damaging property though.Health Question & Answer

You would have gotten more then a driving fine! Rest your mind. It was an accident! You would have known right away if it was anything more serious! Relax... bad things happen sometimes. Health Question & Answer

If there's blood on your front bumper, then you can worry, otherwise you're fine.Health Question & Answer

i think the cops would've told you if you hurt someoneHealth Question & Answer

First of all take a deep breath and let it out slowly. The accident was an accident. I'm sure if any one was hurt, or worse, you would have been told about it, and would have gotten a larger fine, or have faced Jail. I'm pretty sure everything will be alright. This is a most normal reaction for any one who went through a traumatic experience. You're letting your thoughts get out of hand. You need to repeatedly tell yourself everything is fine, you didn't do anything wrong, and your just getting carried away. After about 2 weeks, if you still feel this way, I recommend you go visit a counselor for some help. Best of Wishes to you.Health Question & Answer
