Does life get better after high school?!

Question: Does life get better after high school.?
I am 15 and I'm severely depressed. I think I hide it pretty well though. I used to have a lot of friends, and I was very social, then my dog died and I just stopped talking to people. That was when I was 13. I still have no friends, and I constantly feel like a failure, especially since my older brother is a straight A student who got into a private high school and will most likely get into a really good college. I'll probably get into a decent college, I am an A-/B+ student, so I sort of have a future. I'm sorry if this sounds like a big rant by the way.
I seriously hate everything, everyone annoys me, and I feel like I am going anywhere.
Will this change after high school, do things usually progress after high school.?Health Question & Answer

Your life gets much better after high school. You are no longer at the mercy of a bunch of pea-brain idiots whose greatest concern is their hair and/or loins. :)

Gosh, you are an A and B student, you will have the world at your fingertips sweetheart! You do have much to look forward to and it will be exciting. Don't let despair drain you.

I think, too, that you've found it difficult to find closure with the death of your beloved dog. I understand that. If possible, try to find a counselor to talk to and tell them what you've written here. Sometimes it takes such a harsh trigger as a pet's death to throw us into depression.

Please take care of yourself. You sound like a thoughtful, gracious young person who I'd be proud to know.

And find a counselor!

Take care. Decide to be happy. Live a long life. Meet me on the other side. I'll be the one standing next to your pet.Health Question & Answer

I hated school as well because I found it so boring and monotonous. I also was a poor student with poor grades.
After school I enjoyed life a whole lot more because I could focus on what I wanted to learn and on what interested me.
It's a slower way to start in life, but I am happier now than I was.

There is no telling in this crazy world what will happen. When I was in high school it was the time of my life. I partied, fooled around with girls, and all that. Then I got sick with a disease that really messed me up. After that cleared up I got schizophrenia when I was 22. It all went downhill from there. I am almost 32 now and there is no telling if it will get better or if I will drop dead tomorrow. Life is like that. Life doesn't care if you are happy. It just throws a bunch of random stuff at you and then eventually you die. My nephew died when he was 6 and he was a perfect little boy. My grandpa was a drunk on a path of self destruction and he lived to be 82. You never know what will happen in this crazy world.Health Question & Answer

Honestly, I have the same problem. 15, in high school, and I seem like I am not going anywhere, or doing anything right.
It WILL get better, I guarantee.
With college, you don't know anyone, they don't know anything about you.
You can start over fresh, with out having to change who you are in the process.
I, personally, am thinking about going to an out of state college, just so I can go somewhere different, and have a totally different experience away from where I grew up. That may not be your preference, but if you are thinking of just starting off REALLY fresh, it could be a good idea. Yeah, it costs a lot of money, but I bet it would be worth it. Go near a family member you wouldn't mind be around all the time!
You will miss high school once you are out, but you will love the college life.Health Question & Answer
