Question: Schizophrenia sisters, enviornment.?
My sister was betrayed by her boyfriend. She became schizophrenic.
My another sister who one day woke late at night became schizophrenic and her argument was that some evil soul went into her body. Both of them have been taking meds for 15 years- they talk normally if they are taking meds regularly. However, this is hardly the case with them. Getting along with them is like a living hell.
My third youngest sister lost her mental health after living with such sisters and such stressful surrounding. However, she has been taking meds on a regular basis and she is doing perfectly well and going to university and cooking food back at home. Her response and attitude is that of a normal person. You cant judge from her face if she is is mentally ill. She smiles and watches TV like everyone does.
My fourth sister however talks normally lives lonely in her room and has had paranoid and hallucinating attacks. She also looks like a mental patient because of her depressed face.
Do you think :"enviornment plays" a big role in making people mad or is there a link with genetic make-up.?

Can't tell as you did not describe the home life they were raised in, there is such a thing called environmental retardation, but it is rare. Usually mental illness, bipolar etc. does have a genetic link. This is very severe situation. Hopefully none of these ladies have children. Health Question & Answer
