Can I take 3 pills of Ativan?!
Question: Can I take 3 pills of Ativan.?
I have a prescription for Ativian 0.5 and it says on the bottle to take 1-2 every 4 hours if needed. Can I take 3 pills every 4 hours.? Because it's losen it's effectiveness.
I have a surgery in 2 weeks and just don't want to be really nervous. I was wondering if I could take 3 pills of 0.5 sometimes to help me calm down. It won't kill me right.?Health Question & Answer

Avitan are way more sedating then Valium so you shouldn't really be taking more than you are supoosed to. You will very easily run the risk of becoming addicted.Health Question & Answer

NO! stop now! serioiusly, you are addicted! dont take more than prescribed! your going to end up in the e.r. from an overdose just like i did! believe me, Throw your pills away until you seee the doc. seriously, throw them outside, bury them, something please!
Edit - No. You may not think your addicted, but you are because you said yourself its not helping you anymore. I didnt want to believe it either and made "excuses" like you saying i didnt take it often and what not. It IS an addiction though.
Please, DO NOT take it until you consult your doctor. He will up or down the dose and may even take you off of it and put you on cymbalta or lexapro for anxiety, since its long term and not addicting. DO NOT take 3 pills please. You will seriously regret it when you wake up with a tube down your throat.
Edit Again- Something as little as .5 increase can end you up with permanent health problems and could even cause you to have a heart attack since .25 on its own slows down your heart ALOT.
Edit Times 3 lol - Ask him to switch you to Xanax .5 instead. Its a different type, is the same mg, but some poeple respond differently to each. ativan is stronger, but xanax hits home for most.
