I feel like i have depression because I always feel down.
But i eat right and everything. fruits and veggies everyday +meat ect. but i do eat alot of junk food.
Im notrealy that active, but i plan on becoming more active.
But im always tired.
im 15, and i want to know what is wrong.

Our mind is getting its nourishment and energy from the food and drink we consume.

If the food and drink that we consume is not up to the mark of high quality, then it will definitely have a bearing on our mental ability as well as our physical ability. There is no surprise in it. The mention by you: "that I do eat a lot of junk food" is a direct example. The junk food will definitely result in junk habits like drowsiness, sleep, lethargy, etc.

The minds main function is thinking. Thinking will go wrong if our solid and liquid intake is inferior in quality. When thinking is not clear, we want more sensual objects. Sensual objects create attachment. Attachment brings desire through the impulse of thought. If that desire is not fulfilled, we get irritated and angry. Anger leads to infatuation, frustration. Frustration leads to worry. Worry gives confusion of memory. Confusion of memory takes you to loss of reason. Thus one after the other we are going on adding negatives to our mind set. This enormous accumulation of bad qualities takes us to sleeplessness and depression.

We should see the origin of all these things and cut the root cause.
The origin is wrong type of food and drinks.Health Question & Answer

There is a good chance that you have iron deficiency. My wife went through a period similar to what you are describing. She was always tired and only wanted to sleep. It didn't matter how much she slept, she always felt tired. She went to the doctor and he told her that she had low iron. He put her on iron pills and it helped out right away. After that, when she would start to feel tired all the time, she would get iron pills from the store and it helped her.Health Question & Answer

I have the same problem as you. It seems like no matter how much rest I get, I never feel truly refreshed and awake. I also believe that I have depression, because for the last five years or so it seems like I can only go from low to lower regarding my mood (my parents are the only people who I EVER feel genuinely happy around). My diet also sounds very similar to yours, so I would be really interested to find out what the actual diagnosis for these symptoms might be. I will guarantee you that most everyone who answers this question will advise you to seek therapy, and I believe that that is the only way to know for sure what is wrong. I absolutely do not think that you are paranoid, but I do think that it will give you peace of mind (as I feel it will for me as well) if you speak with a professional who can confidently analyze your symptoms and discuss any possible treatment options. Good luck to you. Health Question & Answer

Talk to your parents and ask them if you can go in for a check up. Your doc can figure out whether or not you have something medical going on. If you get a clean bill of health, do all you can to get lots of sun, exercise, socialize, and eat healthy. Keep talking to your parents, too. If after a few months that doesn't work, then ask your parents about seeing someone for depression. If at any time you have suicidal thoughts, talk to your folks immediately. If not them, a school counselor or some other trusted adult. In general, however, the first stop is the doc if this has been hovering for some time.Health Question & Answer
